When life gives you chances, don’t think twice. Grab it because you wouldn’t know when it will come again. Without a doubt, I have no regrets of accepting this one in a million opportunity. I considered Sea Teacher Program as the best plot twist of this year. I had the chance to improve my knowledge and skills when it comes to teaching. After all, I have realized that the world has different viewpoints. Now, I know I am ready enough to face the new challenges this world could offer. My journey will not going to stop here. As I see my students saying their goodbyes, I challenge myself to meet them very soon. I wouldn’t forget this journey for this made me become whole again. This brought me into who I am today and would become someday. This is part of who I am now. Yes, I survived. Now, I’m just too excited to inspire more lives!
I can say that I've finished this internship with a purpose. It becomes a tool, for me to appreciate and see the world of teaching. Just like in an online shop, what you see is what you get.
Eventually, what I expected is what I experienced. Sea Teachers Program really provides a great opportunity to all the student teachers it helped me a lot to become more knowledgeable and effective teacher someday. And I realized that experience is definitely the best teacher. That learning don't happen just inside the four corners of the classroom. Learning different cultures made me to become more understanding and sensitive to the people around me.

I arrived in Indonesia without knowing that this would be really this amazing. I never thought that this one in a million experience would brought me a lot of happiness.
I arrived in Indonesia at January 20, that day was the start of something new. On my first night, I already prepared myself for meeting new different people for upcoming days. And I was pressured for I set my expectations personally because I was really afraid of disappointing a lot of people.
Days had passed and I was oriented by the receiving university and the junior high school where I am going to teach and also by my cooperating teacher and supervisor.

I was given the schedule of my teaching from observation until my final demo. In that schedule, it was also listed the places that I'm going to visit during my stay in Indonesia. My teaching was everyday. I handled Grade 7 students from class C to H. But I only have one preparation per week.
My cooperating teaching did not require me to prepare any lesson plan during my teaching. I just need to tell her the flow of my lesson before I teach them. All she want is for me to enjoy my stay and my time with my students.
And because of the help, guidance, advice and suggestions of my cooperating teacher and supervisor, everything went well. I became better than I was before I enter this project. From asking how my class and students, how is my condition, or is there anything that I need or is there any problem that I am encountering to giving the materials that I need and and giving me instructions and how I manage each and every situation, I was guided and helped by my supervisor and cooperating teacher.
What made me more happy is that every time I end my class, I saw how my students learned. Through their smiles and thank you messages I became more excited to prepare my next lesson. And that's the most fulfilling part.

All in all, everything was very successful.

Everything was good but hardships are always part of a journey. I encountered different problems but I was happy for I know I did my part to find solution for it. Because English Language isn't their first nor second language, it's really hard for me to share and transfer my knowledge to them. Language barrier became one of my main problem during my teaching. But as I always said to myself, it is not hard to accept changes and to adapt new things. I am used to adjust anything so everything would be good. I asked my buddy and I learned how to speak and translate even the simplest words in Indonesia during my preparation for every lesson. By that, it became easy for me to communicate. Sometimes, I can helped but to use my google translate for them but I am glad that most of the time I was able to give them the satisfaction at the end of the lesson. After all, I still had a great teaching experience during my stay.
Being part of this program is really a blessing and satisfying. I am very thankful that I became one the participants of SEA Teacher Program. Though it was hard for me at first but I was comforted knowing that it would help me to develop my capabilities and my strength as well as my weaknesses.
I would really like to send my all gratitude to everyone who’s been with me since this journey have started. I have mixed emotions as I go back to my country. Overflowing happiness because I was able to represent my school and as well as my country. I hope I made them so proud. And part of me is sad for I now signing off as an international student. This program is really fulfilling. I am so blessed that I became part of the SEA Teacher Program which aim is to enhance the capacity of a student teacher. To Universitas PGRI Madiun, thank you for being a way of reaching my dreams. I gained a lot of experience. Nevertheless, I think one month is short and limited time. I suggest that 2 or more months would be better for the next batch so they really can be fully exposed and learned the culture and environment. But at the end, all the efforts are worth it.
